Poulsbo is about to get a taste of Mexico. Mi Playita Mexican Kitchen is set to open at 21555 Olhava Way NW, next to Supercuts.

“Conveniently located in the College Market Place, less than ½ a mile from historic downtown Poulsbo and two miles from Naval Base Kitsap, we bring our homemade Mexican recipes served to you by our friendly and courteous personnel,” the restaurant’s website reads.

Mi Playita has applied for a liquor license with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, according to business filings.

The restaurant showcases a variety of traditional Mexican dishes with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The menu highlights street tacos, burritos, nachos, fajitas and combination plates.

Street tacos come with seasoned meats on soft corn tortillas, garnished with fresh cilantro and onions. Burritos are generously sized with rice, beans, vegetables and choice of meat, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.

Nachos feature crispy tortilla chips topped with melted cheese, jalapeños and meat options like ground beef or chicken. Combination plates allow diners to sample tacos, enchiladas or tamales, accompanied by rice and beans.

Mi Playita emphasizes authentic flavors and quality ingredients, offering a well-rounded Mexican dining experience.
