After gaining popularity through a slate of successful pop-up events that began last year, the sisters of Milk and Mochi Bakery, Hannah and Nancy, are taking it to the next level with a brick-and-mortar location set to open this year at 4316 Fremont Ave N, according to recent permit records and the bakery’s official Instagram biography.

A representative for Milk and Mochi Bakery did not immediately return a request for comment.

Born in Vietnam and raised in Southern California, Hannah and Nancy have been shaped by both cultures, and their bakery is a celebration of this fusion, according to the company’s website.

As Hannah and Nancy would describe it, patrons can expect to enjoy “not fully Asian, but not fully Western” treats, with an emphasis on seasonal cream puffs. For instance, the bakery’s winter menu included a rose oolong, salted sesame chocolate, strawberry jasmine, and taro coconut cloud.
