According to a recent permit filing, Mirabelle by Orphee aims to debut downtown at 616 1st Avenue #101.
“We’re excited to bring a unique taste of Paris to Seattle and are in the final stages of preparation. Mirabelle by Orphee will be a new Parisian cafe, bakery, and epicerie fine. We offer a selection of premium French products including cheese, charcuterie, chocolate, juice, jams, tea, and more,” owner Orphee Fouano told What Now Seattle.
“We present a gourmet assortment prepared with the highest quality ingredients. Our all-day menu features Parisian favorites, from artisanal sandwiches to freshly baked croissants, French baguettes, pastries, and macarons.”
“Situated in the historic Lowman & Hanford Building, a beacon of Seattle’s history, Mirabelle by Orphee is your gateway to a Parisian culinary journey. This building, constructed in 1892, symbolizes resilience and growth, having risen from the ashes of the Great Seattle Fire of 1889. We are proud to be in such a fascinating location where history meets modern life.”
“I was born in Paris and began my culinary journey at fifteen. A quadruple hospitality and culinary art graduate, I apprenticed at Mederic Culinary School and Hospitality Management of Paris under Chef Cyril Gaidella.”
“I honed my skills with Laurent Bonneau and worked at prestigious places like Palace Park Hyatt Paris Vendome and Palace Plaza Athenee Avenue Montaigne with Alain Ducasse, the chef with the most Michelin stars in the world.”
“I have 15 years of French culinary experience and was a chef-partner from day one for Mademoiselle Colette in California, where we opened three locations. I then moved to Seattle to develop L’Experience Paris in 2018 as a corporate chef. I am currently the Vice President of French Education Northwest involved in helping and supporting the community.”
“In 2024 I joined the Chef-Academician at L’Academie Culinaire de France USA and Canada delegation, making me the youngest chef in the world to be a part of this academy at 29 years old. I am no longer a part of L’Experience Paris Group and would now like to focus on Mirabelle by Orphee.”
