A bar with a sports theme is coming to the city his summer.

It was reported by Capitol Hill Seattle Blog that a new bar called Pitch the Baby is coming to 600 19th Avenue E in Capitol Hill. The space used to be occupied by Kingfish Cafe. There is still not an opening date, but on Instagram they said the bar is opening summer 2025.

The owners of the space are Monica Dimas, Anais Custer and Kim “Kimfer” Flanery-Rye. Dimas had owned Little Neon’s Taco before it closed down, Custer is a co-owner of La Dive Seattle, and Flanery-Rye is the founder of Inclusion Equals which focuses on diversity and inclusion practices.

The bar is themed to sports, hence the name “Pitch the Baby,” and the owners have been promoting their bar by giving out home tickets to games like the Seattle Storm WNBA games. They want to include as many sports as they can to make it a welcoming environment for all sports lovers.

According to the article, Dimas will be reintroducing her Tortas Condesa restaurant in the same space. This was a restaurant on 1510 E Olive Way that offered Mexican torta sandwiches. The new location will be on the other side of the sports bar.
