A new spot for sandwiches is coming to Olympia this fall.
Glowies, owned by Tiernan Gillan and Lexie Castaneto, will open at 113 4th Ave., bringing a vibrant yellow space and fresh flavors to the downtown area.
The menu will feature coffee, baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Sandwich options highlight the “Fab Four”: the BEC with Hill’s “seriously THICC” double-smoked bacon, egg and cheese; the SEC with a house-made sausage patty, egg and cheese; the EC with just egg and cheese; and the SPEC, a special with spam, a crispy rice patty, hori, egg, cheese and sesame mayonnaise, according to the shop’s Instagram
Glowies is crafting house-made brioche buns, vegan and gluten-free.
Coffee offerings range from nitro and cold brew to single-origin drip and the budget-friendly Two Buck Drip. Espresso-based drinks include macchiatos, cortados, flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos, mochas and the affogato-style Glowie with citrus curd.
Tea selections feature chai, matcha and Rishi teas, including Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Jade Cloud and Mystic Mint. Drinks can be customized with syrups such as vanilla, lavender or Earl Grey. Cold foam flavors such as vanilla, lavender, Earl Grey, butterscotch, strawberry and tarragon can be added to any beverage.
Seasonal iced drinks showcase the Butterscotch Banana Latte, Tarragon Latte and Strawberry Matcha. Beer and wine are available in the retail fridge. On Fridays through Sundays, boozy options include mimosas, Bloody Marys and coffee topped with whipped cream.
While an official opening date has not yet been announced, the Glowies team told The Olympian to expect a mid-October debut. For updates, visit the shop’s website and follow along on Instagram.
