According to a recent permit filing, Paparepas aims to debut a new Renton location at 17034 116th Avenue SE.
“As of right now, we hope to open around the last week of January or the first week of February if permitting and construction permits. This new restaurant will be slightly different from previous ones so there is a lot to look forward to,” co-founder Grecia Carrero told What Now Seattle.
“Instead of a fast-casual spot like our previous restaurants, we hope to make this new Renton location a dine-in spot where people can really experience the Venezuelan values of family and home. We will be offering an expanded menu with foods that our parents used to make for us at home in San Cristobal like soups, pastries, and desserts.”
“For the first time ever, we will have a bar to showcase some Venezuelan cocktails and flavors as well that can be found around the country. With this new concept in mind, we are striving for a new aesthetic as well that will resemble and showcase the designs of the houses that we grew up in. Needless to say, we are very excited to be able to express our culture and ourselves through this new restaurant.”
“We started Paparepas in 2017 with the decision to move from Miami to Seattle with our kids. We chose to have a food truck because my husband, Juan, always dreamed of having a restaurant, but we didn’t have enough money to start one.”
“Having to start fresh in a city with no one we knew, we slowly started expanding and meeting many wonderful people. Now, we are grateful to have the opportunity to expand yet again and grow the Paparepas family to Renton as well.”
“While my official title is Co-Founder, I like to think of myself more as the mom of Paparepas. Since it is a family business, I get to enjoy every day working with my loving husband and kids. Additionally, I am very happy and grateful for all the employees that work with us. Without them, none of this would be possible and I am lucky to consider them family as well.”
