A permit has been submitted for the popular bakery, Piroshky Piroshky, to begin alterations to a location in the newly-debuted Washington State Convention Center (WSCC) addition, at 1600 9th Ave., bringing their total to four bakeries in the Seattle area.
Piroshky Piroshky first opened in 1992 with the dream of bringing their Eastern European comfort food to the Northwest in America with a blend of the area’s own local flavors, according to their website. The menu includes many inventive combinations of piroshkis, some for a limited time, all ranging from savory to vegetarian to sweet. They offer event pre-orders, freshly baked and baked & chilled delivery options, and in-store pickup. But don’t worry if you’re not in the Seattle area close to one of their soon-to-be four locations because they ship nationwide also.
Owner Olga Sagan’s website tells us she became a part owner in 2006 before becoming the sole owner in 2017. Since her takeover, the bakery now has currently opened two additional locations (soon to include a third) and a food truck as well. When Sagan isn’t running her growing bakery business, she aggregates for other small businesses like her own and is earning accolades such as the 2020 Washington Small Business Owner of The Year award.
Sagan was unavailable as of Thursday for comment on when the fourth location is expected to open.
