A pink-themed doughnut shop known for its eccentric flavors is expanding in the Seattle area.
Voodoo Doughnut is opening a new location in downtown Bellevue, according to CEO Chris Schultz’s LinkedIn post.
“Bellevue has been growing fast, and we’ve had a lot of requests to bring our pink boxes and wild flavors to the Eastside,” Schultz wrote. “We heard you.”
The Bellevue shop will be the company’s third Washington location, joining Capitol Hill and Vancouver, and its 26th overall.
Founded in downtown Portland in 2003 by Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson and Tres Shannon, Voodoo has built a cult following with offbeat creations like the Bacon Maple Bar, Memphis Mafia and the Cannolo. The shop offers more than 40 flavors, including 10 vegan options.
According to its website, the company focuses on guest experience, employee incentives and charitable giving. It also offers custom doughnuts for weddings, birthdays and other special occasions, along with branded merchandise.
The new location is expected to open at 10713 Main St., near Bellevue Plaza. While an exact opening date has not been announced, Schultz said on social media to stay tuned for updates.
