A Mexican restaurant known for its bold flavors and late-night eats is expanding across the greater Seattle area, with two new locations in the works.

Taqueria El Antojo, which means “the craving,” plans to open restaurants at 8814 S. Tacoma Way in Tacoma and 235 Strander Blvd. in Tukwila. The new spots will bring the chain’s total to eight locations.

An exact opening date has not been announced, but the website lists both as “coming soon.”

Taquería El Antojo offers a robust menu rooted in Mexican street food traditions, with options ranging from breakfast staples to fusion burgers. The breakfast section features dishes like chilaquiles, huevos rancheros and loaded breakfast burritos, all served with freshly made tortillas.

The regular menu leans into antojitos—small, craveable bites like sopes, mulitas and gorditas, each hand-pressed and made to order. Protein options are plentiful, and the portions are ideal for mixing, matching or sharing.

For those in the mood for something different, the burger broiler menu adds an American twist. Options include the Pollo Ranchero, classic cheeseburgers and double-patty combos, blending familiar diner flavors with a hint of Mexican flair.

The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight, and stays open until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays for late-night bites.

“Whether you’re out with friends or just hungry after hours, we’re here to satisfy your antojo,” the website reads.
