QIAO LIN, a Chicago-based hot pot restaurant chain, is set to establish its first West Coast location in the retail area of the Grand Hyatt at 1510 Seventh Ave. The new restaurant will replace the former Blue C Sushi space, bringing a completely new dining concept to the location.
While the opening date for the restaurant has not been confirmed, recent food and alcohol license applications, along with sign permits, indicate that it could be within the next few months, according to a recent article in the Puget Sound Business Journal. Likewise, QIAO LIN’s new location is already featured on the “About Us” section of their website
Hot pot cuisine is a popular style of cuisine in China, especially in Sichuan province. It involves a pot of spiced broth that is placed on or under the table with a heat source. Diners add a variety of meats, vegetables, and noodles to the broth, creating a delicious and flavorful meal. QIAO LIN specializes in authentic Chongqing-style hotpot cuisine, with a rich variety of ingredients that are unique to the style.
The team at QIAO LIN grew up eating hot pot in Chongqing – one of Sichuan province’s largest municipalities – and has honed their skills and experience in creating authentic dishes that showcase the unique flavors of Chongqing-style hotpot, according to their website.
