A new restaurant from an experienced Seattle hospitality group appears to be in the works.

The new concept called Cantina Del Sol is planned for a space at 422 E Pine Street, Capitol Hill Seattle News reports. The complex was formerly occupied by Mezcaleria Oaxaca, which closed in fall 2024 after 10 years in business.

Cantina Del Sol comes from Pike Street Hospitality Group. The group has launched their own concepts – Rumba and Inside Passage – and taken over existing ones – Agua Verde Café, HoneyHole and the now-closed Tango Restaurant. (Pike Street Hospitality Group revived the sandwich spot HoneyHole from its somewhat turbulent past, including a missing owner in 2023.)

Travis Rosenthal founded Pike Street Hospitality Group. The company began in 2006 with the purchase of Tango.
