A new cafe brewing creativity and community is set to open this summer in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Open Form, owned by Tara Almassi, will open at 500 E. Pike St.
“It’s inspired by the way I grew up, where the art of hosting was everything. Where people were welcomed with tea, with food, with presence,” Almassi posted via Instagram.
The idea for the cafe deepened while Almassi lived in Brooklyn, hosting candlelit dinner parties to bring friends together in a warm, inviting space.
“That spirit, shaped by my Iranian roots, is in every corner of this space. You’ll find Persian tea, coffee, wine, intimate dinners, and experiences designed to slow you down and bring you in,” the post continued.
Almassi is partnering with her college roommate and longtime friend, Marlena, to bring the cafe to life.
“When I started dreaming up Open Form, there was one person I knew I wanted by my side. Someone who gets me, grounds me, and believes in the vision even when things get messy. That’s Marlena,” another post read.
Although the cafe’s official opening date has not been announced, the shop’s website says “Come over soon.” For the latest updates, visit the website and follow them on Instagram.
What Now Seattle reached out to Almassi, however, she has not yet responded. This article may be updated.
