A Seattle-based burger and shake spot is heading to Tacoma.

According to The News Tribune, owner Marcus Lalario confirmed he and his team plan to open a Lil Woody’s location in the city’s Stadium District by late 2025 or early 2026.

The restaurant is expected to open at 29 N. Tacoma Ave., in the former Harvester Restaurant space, which closed in 2023.

“Lil Woody’s Burgers & Shakes has never been just another burger joint. Every day, our gang serves up fast and fresh meals and snacks with quality and creativity. But, here’s the thing — We take as much pride in the people and environment as our food. That’s for real,” the restaurant’s website reads.

Lil Woody’s offers a variety of quarter-pound, grass-fed beef burgers with creative names, such as The Fig and The Pig, The New Mexican and The Trotter. The menu also includes alternatives like a veggie burger, salmon burger and chicken sandwich.

A standout item on the menu is the shake fries—hand-cut fries served with a side of milkshake for dipping.

Ingredients are sourced from Pacific Northwest producers, including custom buns from Franz Bakery, Royal Ranch grass-fed beef, bacon from Hill Meat Co. in Pendleton and dairy products from Tillamook.

Lil Woody’s first opened in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood in 2012 and now operates three other locations in the city, along with spots at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and in Tokyo, Japan.

What Now Seattle reached out to Lil Woody’s for more information on the new location. This story may be updated.
