The Redd Dog, a dog-friendly, self-pour pub, is paws-ing its usual routine for a “new adventure.”
The Tacoma pub, a neighborhood favorite since 2020, poured its final drink on Jan. 31 at its 6th Ave. location to make way for the Redd Dog Brewery, set to open in spring or summer 2026, according to a social media post.
“The location will be right down the road in the up-and-coming brewery district of Tacoma. Don’t worry—many of your Redd Dog favorites are coming with us and much more!” the post read.
Guests can enjoy a meal while their furry friends dig into their own favorites from the Redd Doggie Menu. The pub currently serves sharable plates, salads, pizzas and hot artisan sandwiches, all designed to please both people and pups.
The new location plans to expand the menu, brews and merchandise, and will feature a large, fenced-in beer garden. Even with the new additions, the team will still be led by Redd, the mascot and the leader of the pack despite being the runt of the litter.
While an official opening date hasn’t been announced, the post added, “We can’t wait to share a pour with you at our new brewery soon.”
In the meantime, the pub also operates locations in Bellevue and Puyallup.
