A fast-casual Indian restaurant is growing its presence in the greater Seattle area.

The Roll Pod plans to open its third brick-and-mortar location—and sixth overall, including food trucks—at 1717 22nd Ave. The 1,764-square-foot restaurant will occupy the ground floor of the Session apartment building.

Owners PK Kumar and Anu Singh created the concept after noticing a lack of convenient, on-the-go Indian food and wanted to deliver fast, flavorful meals for busy customers, according to the restaurant’s website.

The Roll Pod offers a menu centered around Indian street food favorites, including kathi rolls, rice bowls and combo meals.

Guests can choose from a variety of fillings such as chicken masala, mutton masala, paneer or mushroom. Main dishes include the Roll Pod, which comes with two stuffed roti wraps, and the Rice Pod, a bowl served with up to two fillings. The Combo Pod features one roll and a rice portion, while the Salad Pod offers a low-carb option. Customers can also try the Pav Bhaji Pod, which includes spiced vegetable curry and bread rolls, or opt for larger portions like the Tri Pod and Tri Combo Pod.

The Roll Pod also operates two other storefronts in Bellevue and White Center, along with three lunch-focused food trucks—two stationed in South Lake Union on Boren Avenue and John Street, and another in Kirkland.

While the opening date remains undetermined, check the shop’s website and social media pages for updates.
