It looks like The Spot cafe and wine bar is coming back to life with a new location in Capitol Hill.
It was recently reported by Capitol Hill Seattle that The Spot will be moving to the same location as Essensuals of London, 1156 11th Avenue. Their previous location at 2920 SW Avalon Way permanently closed a few months back. According to the article, the business is taking one side of the new building and will be opening in the next few weeks.
The Spot West Seattle opened in 2020. It was known for having concerts in an intimate setting, with music four nights a week. Now, owner Philip Sudore plans on reopening the new space with the same vibe and bringing many menu options.
The last location had a number of different menus, including a cafe menu with pastries, brunch menu and dinner menu in the evening. Sudore told Capitol Hill they plan on retailing wine and setting up a wine club in the space.
The closest bars to the new The Spot location are Pony, La Dive and Oddfellows Cafe + Bar. it is also close to Seattle University and Swedish Hospital campuses.
