Founded in Orlando in 1987, Flippers Pizzeria started as a small, 895-square-foot pizza shop that has since grown to include fifteen locations, including stores in St. Petersburg and Tampa. Tampa’s first Flippers Pizzeria launched this past April, to be followed this January 1 by another new Flippers, this time in Davenport, at 7967 Osceola Polk Line Road.

Flippers Pizzeria offers build-your-own artisan pizzas, along with Classic varieties like Quattro Formaggio and Triple Pepperoni and Signature Varieties like Pig & Pesto and Mediterranean Chicken.

“We’re really proud of our pizza,” Flippers Chief Operating Officer Ben Richardson told What Now on Monday. “The thing that sets our product apart is that it’s all-natural. The dough is made with unbleached flour and has this incredible flavor. It’s good and it’s good for you.”

Are there any more locations to be expected in the Tampa Bay area as well? What Now asked.

“We’re looking to open a couple,” Richardson said. “We’re looking from New Tampa all the way down to Sarasota.”

Keep an eye out for the Davenport location opening in the New Year, and in the meantime, check out the new Flippers Pizzeria location at 201 N Dale Mabry Highway and follow @flipperspizzeria on Instagram.
