Back in January, What Now reported on plans for then-upcoming gastropub Allswell Craft Cocktails & Kitchen to join restaurants like Agave Bandido and Deep Lagoon Seafood & Oyster in Lakewood Ranch’s Waterside Place. Allswell has now been open for about three weeks, and it’s going strong.

“It’s been amazing,” co-owner Tory Delany told What Now on Friday. “We hit the ground running. We had an amazing response from the locals who have come in to see us. People are happy to have something like this in the area; it’s a very welcome addition.”

Delany and her partner Darren Shore aren’t skipping a beat, however. They’re already at work on their eighth restaurant: Delany’s Public House, taking over the old McGrath’s Kitchen & Cocktails space at 8110 Lakewood Main Street.

“It will be an upscale, eclectic Irish bar with very elevated Irish tavern food,” Delany said. “All of the traditional Irish fare: bangers and mash, chicken pot pie, fish and chips, corned beef sandwiches.”

The space will also feature a market, which Delany describes as a “traditional, old-school Irish provisions store, very similar to what we had in rural Ireland in the 50s and 60s.” They’re you’ll be able to find grocery items and plenty of nostalgia.

Delany’s Public House is working toward an opening in early-to-mid-2026.
