What Now reported last May on an upcoming popup by specialty coffee brand Una Más, to be followed by a permanent brick-and-mortar opening at 4502 N Florida Ave. Ultimately, that permanent opening never eventuated.

“After plans to open a cafe in Tampa Heights fizzled out, Una Más moved to Magnanimous Brewing’s Seminole Heights taproom in the summer and resumed a steady schedule of breakfast and brunch services from Thursday-Saturday,” says recent coverage by Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, which announces that the brand will, at last, launch its first brick-and-mortar coffee shop soon at a different location: 1715 N Howard Avenue.

Offering “Cuban & Colombian inspired comfort food & drinks”, Una Más has built a steady following in Tampa with founders and owners Paola Chamorro Ward and Curt Hensley at the Helm. The brand posted a video on Instagram a week ago in which you can see the progress of work underway.

“A step closer and a look behind the scenes of what we’ve been up to this past week,” the post says.

What Now reached out to Chamorro Ward on Thursday to ask about plans for the opening, specifically details on Una Más’s menu offerings, and what can be expected in a permanent location. Chamorro Ward was not immediately available for comment.
