Just east of the Five Points Roundabout in Downtown Sarasota, Maryland-based Mexican restaurant chain Banditos Tacos & Tequila is planning to make its Florida debut. The Sarasota location—which, according to recent coverage on YourObserver.com, will feature the chain’s first rooftop patio—will open at 1468 Main St this fall.
The brand’s Federal Hill, Maryland, location offers a menu that leads with Starters like Monster Nachos, Street Corn, and Shrimp Ceviche. The menu features a wide range of taco varieties, from Ground Beef, to Dynamite Fish, to Nashville Hot, Pork Belly, Bang Bang Shrimp, and more. (Traditional tacos with Chicken Tinga, Barbacoa, Al Pastor, and other familiar proteins are also available. So, by the way, is brunch.)
Also featured are burritos and bowls with flavor profiles like Steak and Elote, Surf and Turf, and Veggie Shroom. To drink: the Dito Rita or one of a number of craft cocktails, including the Oaxacan Old Fashioned (El Tesoro Reposado + Ilegal Joven Agave + Xocolatl Mole Bitters).
The new location will be part of a bustling food and drink community that includes nearby eateries like Smokin’ Joes Pub, Brewster’s, and Patricks 1481.
