Baystar Restaurant Group, the hospitality company behind Clearwater restaurants Bar Tiki and Island Way Grill, Clearwater Beach’s Marina Cantina, and many other restaurants, appears to be launching a new cookie-focused concept.

A recent plan review was submitted by Cool Cookie LLC for a restaurant project called Cool Cookie at 25 Causeway Boulevard, Unit 108. The paperwork places the address in Indian Shores, but a Google search will you land you on Clearwater Beach.

The location in question appears to be situated by the water, at the Clearwater Marina, which is also home to Baystar’s Marina Cantina and Salt Cracker Fish Camp.

Behind Cool Cookie LLC is Frank Chivas, founder of Baystar Restaurant Group and longtime Pinellas County restaurateur. What Now reached out to Chivas on Tuesday to inquire about Cool Cookie. Chivas declined to make any immediate comment on the project.

What Now is awaiting more information about Cool Cookie. In the meantime, you can follow @baystarrestaurantgroup on Instagram to keep up with this Tampa Bay-born hospitality company.
