Known for healthy, low-sugar, high-protein smoothies, Better Blend is gearing up to make its debut in the state of Florida. The brand recently announced a franchise agreement that will bring three locations to the Tampa Bay area.

“We’re looking to have our first location in the Brandon area this year,” Better Blend Founder & CEO Isaac Hamlin said on Friday in a conversation with What Now and with Mike Faustini, the franchisee introducing the concept to Tampa Bay. “We’d like to open one per year following that, for a total of three.”

The opening date for the Brandon location has not been determined yet, but Better Blend plans to make its Tampa Bay debut before the end of this year. In the meantime, Better Blend is currently introducing itself to the area with its Blendmobile food trucks.

“We’re getting a lot of positive feedback,” Faustini said, describing the great reaction to Better Blend’s smoothies, acai bowls, and protein smoothie bowls in the area.

Faustini is an ideal representative of what Better Blend stands for. The idea to invest in the brand grew out of his own experience practicing the kind of healthy lifestyle Better Blend represents:

“I was inspired to bring the brand here following my own weight loss journey, where I lost 90 pounds by sticking to a high-protein, low-sugar diet and exercise.”

And what led to Brandon as the first choice for opening? What Now asked.

“I live in Riverview, so it felt like staying close to home, being part of a community we’re actively involved in,” Faustini said. “We look forward to feeding the community and making everybody healthier one bowl at a time.”

“Florida’s a market we’ve had our eye on for a long time,” Isaac Hamlin said in a press release. “We’re all about community and Tampa has an incredible energy that’s really exciting. And with the Blendmobiles, we’re able to start serving the community even faster.”

Founded in 2018, Better Blend has grown steadily in Ohio and Kentucky. It has accomplished this “by focusing on nutritious smoothies that are low in sugar, high in protein, and designed to taste like a treat,” says the press release. “The menu also includes a variety of bowls, including organic acai bowls and protein smoothie bowls. The brand operates through a franchise model designed for efficient operations, strong community engagement, and multiple revenue streams.”

Better Blend is still at work determining its Brandon location.
