Earlier this month, sophisticated fast-casual franchise Bread & Vine announced plans for an expansion in three states: Florida, Massachusetts, and the brand’s home state of Illinois.

“We’re incredibly excited to see Bread & Vine grow beyond our flagship location in Galena, Illinois. These new openings mark a major milestone for us – a proof of concept, but also a validation of the demand for a fast casual restaurant that blends global comfort food with French flair,” Eric Bonnetain, Founder of Bread & Vine, said in a press release. “It’s rewarding to see passionate franchisees bring the brand to life in new communities.”

The brand’s first store in the Sunshine State will be in Tampa, at 9648 W Linebaugh Ave, part of the Westchase Town Center retail center. The press release says an opening is expected in August.

“We can’t wait to bring our signature flavors, warm hospitality, and vibrant atmosphere to the Tampa community,” says the brand’s website.

The Bread & Vine menu features Hand Helds like the Croque-Monsieur (Pullman bread, béchamel, ham, gratinated gruyere cheese, with yuzu vinaigrette salad), the Moroccan (Baguette, lamb sausage [merguez] arugula, french fries, harissa mayo), and the Parma (Rosemary focaccia, ricotta, mozzarella, prosciutto, tomatoes, baby arugula, olive oil, balsamic dressing).

And that’s only the beginning to a selection that includes everything from Pork Belly Tacos to Poutine to Foie Gras au Torchon.

What Now reached out on Thursday to franchisee Kim Pudoka to ask about plans for the Tampa opening. Pudoka was not immediately available for comment.
