Peter Seremetis, owner of the former Oviedo establishment Who Gives a Crepe, will soon be opening up Sweet Scoops, a new dessert shop at 7137 US Hwy 19 in New Port Richey, according to recent public records.

“We’ll be serving homemade ice cream, along with soft serve and Italian ice,” Mr. Seremetis tells What Now Tampa.

“We’ll also serve crepes, both sweet — such as nutella, banana, strawberry — and savory — such as chicken, ham, almost like a sandwich.”

When asked why he chose to open in New Port Richey, Mr. Seremetis points to the simple fact that it’s his new home.

“I moved out here and found a spot and said ‘Hey, this is where I’ll open it!’”

No opening date has yet been set as Seremetis is still clearing bureaucratic hurdles.

“It’s all up to the health department, but I’m hoping sometime in the fall.”
