Expo on Clark, the retail center on the northeast corner of Clark and Sawyer Roads in Sarasota, will soon be home to Sarasota’s first Clean Eatz location. Offering a cafe menu, grab ‘n’ go options, and meal plans, Clean Eatz is a healthy choice for people trying to live well, and Ami Spellman, who is opening the Sarasota location together with Mike Spellman, says it doesn’t sidestep flavor either.
“If you expect Clean Eatz to taste like diet food, you will be very surprised,” Spellman told What Now on Tuesday. “All of Clean Eatz’s food is macro-friendly and balanced, so it’s a great way to stick to your fitness goals, while eating something that tastes delicious.”
The Spellmans first got to know Clean Eatz as regular customers (Ami’s usual is the Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap), and this led them to join with the brand as franchisees. Spellman says the Clean Eatz is a clear choice because it’s not only serving healthful food, it’s also got something for everybody out there.
“There is a menu item for even the pickiest eater,” Spellman said.
“Clean Eatz, which launched in 2013 and started franchising in 2015, was co-founded by husband-and-wife duo Don and Evonne Varady,” says the brand’s website. “We are heart-driven to Change Livez through clean, balanced food, thought-provoking education and motivational support that inspires results. We know personal wellness is not one-size-fits-all, so we craft nutritional products and fitness opportunities that meet the needs of every type of lifestyle.”
Opening at Expo on Clark, Clean Eatz joins restaurants like The Original Egg, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Oak & Stone. It’s working toward a launch in October.
