Creative Loafing Tampa Bay covered the then-sad news of Clearwater Brewing Company, the brewery at 1700 N Fort Harrison Ave, closing in August 2023. This summer will be two years since then, but this summer there’s some good news: now under new ownership, Clearwater Brewing is preparing to reopen.

“Under new Ownership and currently being renovated,” says a description provided to Google Maps. “We are an independently owned microbrewery located in Old Clearwater Bay just on the outskirts of downtown Clearwater, FL. We are locally owned and operated, and proud members of the Independent Craft Brewers Association, Florida Brewers Guild, and the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce.”

The brand’s website has yet to reappear, but its Instagram page announces the news:

“Under New Ownership. Stay tuned for renovation updates!”

What Now reached out to co-owner Hannah Menard on Thursday to ask about the timeline for renovations and reopening—and about any changes that might be expected for the beer list. For the moment, we’ll have to wait and see!
