Known for California-born, Nashville-style hot chicken with highly flexible spice levels (like Lite Mild for the skittish, Hot and Extra Hot for the curious, and Reaper for the truly brave), Dave’s Hot Chicken has been growing explosively in the last few years. It now has more than two hundred locations stateside, along with others in Canada and the Middle East.

Now, as the brand continues to grow in many of its markets, the Tampa Bay region is no exception. Paperwork submitted by King Chicken, LLC shows a new Dave’s Hot Chicken opening at 2689 Gulf to Bay Blvd, in the Clearwater Mall.

Behind the location is Estep & Co., Inc. a multi-concept franchisee that also franchises Five Guys locations.

The Dave’s Hot Chicken Menu features meals like the Dave’s #1: 2 Tenders w/ Fries and the Dave’s #2: 2 Sliders w/ Fries. Tenders are served with sliced bread, pickles, and a side of Dave’s Sauce, while sliders come on a potato bun with kale slaw pickle, drizzled with Dave’s Sauce. These can be served up along with sides like Mac & Cheese, Cheese Fries, and more—and finished off with Top-Loaded Shakes in varieties like Oreo, M&M, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Opening in the Clearwater Mall, Dave’s Hot Chicken would join restaurants like Indian Bistro, Five Guys, Smokey Bones, and Moe’s Southwest Grill.
