Following the news earlier this summer that representatives of Rodizio Grill were scheduled to meet Pasco City planners for a new outpost on Sun Vista Dr. – in the shopping center located at the corner of State Road 56 and Wesley Chapel Blvd. – local media outlet Neighborhood News is now reporting that a “coming soon” sign has officially gone up in the space near At Home and Costco. It’s still unclear exactly when the restaurant will open.

A representative of Rodizio Grill was not immediately available for comment.

Rodizio Grill was founded in 1995 by Brazilian native, Ivan Utrera, and stands as the US’s first churrasco-style steakhouse, where waiters carve up succulent slabs of skirt steak table side.

The company currently operates around 20 locations in 13 states, including five throughout Florida.

When its flagship location opened in Orlando in 2020, Utrera said in a statement published by Restaurant News, “I am beyond excited to bring our concept to the most desirable location in Orlando and be a part of the vibrant dining and lifestyle scene. Our unique spirit of fun, adventure, and alegria (joy) delivers a truly authentic Brazilian dining experience that is not only memorable, but unlike any other.”
