Located at 253 Second Ave. N in St. Petersburg, the historic Cordova Inn is putting the finishing touches on three years of construction. The nearly completed expanded space is expected to open on February 15, according to coverage by St. Pete Rising. It’s a five-story addition that will more than triple the Cordova Inn’s room count.
“At this point it’s furniture, final finishes, and waiting on a few inspections,” co-owner Tommy Del Zoppo says in the St. Pete Rising coverage.
Another exciting bit of news with the expansion is the hotel’s plan to introduce a new fifth-floor rooftop bar to the new portion of the hotel, along with a ground-floor restaurant that Del Zoppo describes as “a great restaurant that just happens to be in a hotel,” as opposed to a “hotel restaurant.” Both of these will be available to the public.

Opening in the newly expanded Cordova Inn, which is part of the New Hotel Collection (the hospitality group headed up by Del Zoppo and Alex Hodges), the new rooftop bar and upcoming restaurant will join a food and drink community that includes nearby restaurants Green Light Lounge and Kitchen, and Cognac.
