A new Hispanic bakery and restaurant is preparing to open its doors in Winter Haven. Called Davila Bakery & Restaurant, it will open at 213 E Central Ave, Unit C, according to submitted plan review documents, in one of the buildings situated between Second and Third Streets Northeast.

Chef Yoleida, the culinary force behind the Davila Bakery & Restaurant, brings 25 years of culinary to experience to the table. Originally from Venezuela, the chef has worked in a wide range of culinary settings, including a variety of small bakeries and at Disney.

As a result, the representative says, Davila Bakery’s menu will feature foods not just from Venezuelan cuisine but from the cuisines of Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and the United States, as well.

“It’s basically going to be bread, cakes, pies, cookies—everything made from scratch,” the representative said. “And we’ll be serving coffee, too.”

Soon to take its place alongside businesses like Metro by T-Mobile and Chain of Lakes Nutrition (Herbalife), Davila Bakery & Restaurant has not yet determined an official opening date. So stay tuned for more details!
