Founded in 2010, Dog Haus is the hot dog lover’s hot dog joint. The brand has grown considerably since its launch, surpassing 50 locations, and this week, it announced plans for a Tampa Bay debut.
Dog Haus has signed an Area Development agreement with veteran restaurant franchisees Livingston and Terri Chatman. The brand’s debut is expected for the end of this year or the beginning of 2026, and while it’s the only location currently under contract with the Chatmans, the franchisees are scouting further locations already.
“We were immediately drawn to Dog Haus’ innovative approach to comfort food and how it stands out in a crowded industry,” Livingston Chatman said in a press release. “After following the company’s impressive growth and ongoing success, we knew we had to be part of this journey – and we’re proud to introduce this brand to Florida.”
The Dog Haus menu features Haus Dogs and Haus Sausage that—like its Haus Burgers and Haus Chicken—are always hormone and antibiotic free. There’s the Sooo Cali dog (wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy onions, spicy basil aioli), the Chili Idol (haus chili, cheddar cheese sauce, onions), and, of course, a Corn Dog made with root beer batter.
“We’re excited to welcome Livingston and Terri to the Dog Haus family,” said Dog Haus Executive Vice President Erik Hartung in the press release. “Their extensive experience and passion for quality, along with their dedication to operational excellence, make them excellent partners as we expand into new markets. Florida represents a major milestone for us, and we’re confident the Chatmans will help establish a strong foundation for growth in the region.”
