In business since 1969, when it was founded near Buffalo, New York, Duff’s Famous Wings is preparing to make its debut in Sarasota.

The brand has already been introduced to the Sunshine State, with a location that opened at 5119 N Nebraska Ave in Tampa’s Seminole Heights neighborhood. Now, submitted plan review documents show an opening in the works at 3900 Clark Road in Sarasota.

“Duff’s Famous Wings has been operating in the same location, just north of Buffalo, NY, since 1946 and recently began selling franchises outside of the Empire State. There are also Duff’s restaurants in Texas and Kentucky,” said a Facebook post by local insider Restaurants in Sarasota. “Duff’s says they will open their Sarasota location in a month.”

The Seminole Heights location offers a menu featuring Starters like Bavarian Pretzel Sticks, Fried Pickles, and Crispy Brussels, along with salads like the Classic Caesar Salad and the Buffalo Chicken Finger Salad. That leads into the main event: Duff’s Famous Wings, which come in with sauces ranging from Mild to Medium (Is Hot), to Hot (Is Very, Very Hot), and beyond: to flavors whose names speak for themselves: Superhot and Death (!). There are also specialty sauces like Spicy BBQ, Hot Honey, and Sweet Cajun Glaze.

The Clark Road location is part of Lakeshore Village, where Duff’s Famous Wings will join a restaurant community that includes Millie’s and—just across the street—Paddy Wagon Irish Pub.
