According to reporting in The Business Journal Yacht Starship Dining Cruises will soon be debuting Craft, a dining cruise.
“Yacht Starship Dining Cruises announced Thursday the introduction of Craft, a dining cruise that will accommodate 150 guests and feature a seasonal menu from executive chef Allison Beasman,” the report states.
“The new ship — reportedly the largest on the Hillsborough River — was a multimillion-dollar investment, according to a release.”
“Craft has been a dream of ours since the first cruise in Tampa over 22 years ago,” President and CEO Troy Manthey said in a statement. “It’s a purpose-built vessel, creating a new era of cruising in Tampa, which is sure to exceed guest expectations.”
The report states that the new ship will “be able to traverse through five low bridges on the Hillsborough River due to its vertical clearance of 11 feet” and “will feature an open kitchen concept with a gas grill and stove, a portion of a 1914 vintage wooden cruiser as the bar and indoor and outdoor or bar seating. Brunch, dinner and cocktails will all be offered.”
“Each meal will be an unforgettable experience using the freshest local ingredients for your culinary river journey,” said Beasman, the cruise chef, to the report.
The Business Journal anticipates a late 2023 debut. No specific opening date has been announced.
