Flower Child, the healthy restaurant concept from Fox Restaurant Concepts offers “Healthy food for a Happy World” at several dozen locations all over the country. Now it’s preparing to make its Florida debut with a new location opening in Sarasota, says coverage by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
Opening at 6532 University Parkway, the new Flower Child will feature 3,500 square feet of space, with an outdoor patio, the coverage says.
There, guests will be able to check out a menu packed with healthy bowls, salads, and wraps. Menus can differ by location, but Flower Child’s bowls have included choices like the Glow Bowl (sweet potato noodle, shiitake, onion, snap pea, cilantro, mint, sunflower sauce), the Mediterranean Chicken Kabob (summer squash, portobello mushroom, bell pepper, harissa, quinoa rice, yogurt sauce, Greek salad), and the Mother Earth (ancient grains, sweet potato, portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onion, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette, hemp seed).
“At Flower Child, we make every last bite from scratch, using fresh ingredients from close to home and serving healthy food that takes you to a happy place,” says the Flower Child website. “That’s our promise to you, whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, paleo, or just hungry. And just because we can do sugar-free, dairy-free and gluten-free doesn’t mean we do flavor-free… because where’s the happy in that?”
