The building on North 34th Street near the intersection with East Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard appears to be the future home of a new restaurant called Island Delight. Paperwork submitted by Island Delight LLC shows the restaurant opening at 4008 34th Street.

Behind Island Delight LLC is co-owner Eline Durassain. What Now reached out to Durassain on Friday to inquire about plans for Island Delight’s opening, its menu, and its overall brand profile.

Durassain was not immediately available for comment on Friday, which leaves us guessing for the moment the menu offerings that would be offered at the upcoming restaurant. From the name of the restaurant, cuisine from the Caribbean seems like a safe bet.

The location in question is the former home of 4 Reasonz Restaurant. Opening there, Island Delight would serve a community that is not densely populated with food and drink choices.

What Now is awaiting more information on Island Delight, so stay tuned for updates.
