“COMING SOON!” says the website of Juicys, “the leader in outdoor dining and your favorite fair food.” Seen since 1984 at county fairs from California to Texas to the Sunshine State, the fair food concept is now preparing to open its first brick-and-mortar location in Bradenton.
Owner Brett Enright created his first stand when he was fourteen at a county fair in California, Juicys CFO Marc Medina told What Now on Thursday.
“He’s going to turn 53 this year. He’s been doing it forever, and he’s finally moving over from the fair industry, which he’s conquered, to brick-and-mortars,” Medina said.
Enright decided to take the company in this direction at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the county fairs closed down and there was a noticeable lack of Juicys-style food.
Juicys plans to launch its first brick-and-mortar in time for the Fourth of July at 2319 Cortez Rd W. Another Bradenton location is in the works, Medina said, along with future locations in Texas and California.
Menu items teased on the Juicys website include the Giant Corn Dog, Turkey Leg Tacos, Cheesy Bacon Curly Fries, and Juicys Philly Steak Sandwich. On the sweet side: Fried Oreos and funnel cake with a variety of toppings.
Juicys promises to be the perfect place of “burgers, dogs, funnel cakes, and shakes.”
