Haitian cuisine concept and caterer Koupe Dwet Cuisine offers Haitian food for events in the Polk County area. Having served as a way of “Sharing my recipes with the world,” the brand now appears to be moving to the next stage in its growth: a brick-and-mortar restaurant.

Plan review paperwork was submitted by Gigi Koupe Dwet Cuisine, LLC for a restaurant at 1281 First St. S in Winter Haven.

Behind the restaurant is Gimana Saint Jacques—owner and chef (and the me to go with the “my” above). What Now reached out to Saint Jacques on Thursday to ask about plans for a Koupe Dwet restaurant opening in Winter Haven. Saint Jacques was not immediately available for comment, leaving us wondering, for the moment, about the upcoming restaurant’s offerings.

The brand’s Facebook page is full of pictures of delicious-looking dishes, although we are still looking forward to seeing a menu!

Opening in the First Street South location in Winter Haven, Koupe Dwet Cuisine would join a food and beverage community that includes Wawa, Chilly Masala Indian Cuisine, and Office Pub & Lounge.
