A new Italian restaurant looks to be in the works for Sarasota! Plan review paperwork submitted recently by Grazie Italia LLC indicates that Casami Italian Bistro will open at 1272 N Palm Avenue, near the roundabout intersection with Cocoanut Avenue.

Behind Grazie Italia LLC are owners Luigi Di Orio and Shatara Giles. Di Orio and Giles are a local culinary couple known as Chef Luigi & Shatara. What Now reached out to Giles on Tuesday to ask about plans for Casami Italian Bistro. Giles was not immediately available for comment.

As a result, the details about Casami’s Italian menu offerings are not yet known. What Now is waiting on more information.

Opening in the Palm Avenue location, Casami Italian Bistro would join a culinary community that includes Buddy Brew Coffee, KOJO, Bar Hana, Palm Avenue Deli, and more.
