The company known for their cotton candy waffles is bringing a new spot for desserts to St. Petersburg’s downtown.

Per an article from St. Pete Rising, Melt n Dip is opening at the former Rollbotto Sushi restaurant, 221 1st Street S. This will be the third Melt n Dip Florida location, the closest being in Temple Terrace. According to Khalid Khawaja, one of the owners, they are expecting to open by Dec. 1 at the latest.

Famous for their Belgian chocolate, the cafes also serve gelato, cake, crepes, and dip sticks, as well as coffees. The company has locations all around the country, in Canada and one in Beirut, Lebanon. Along with the Temple Terrace location, there is one in Orlando and a Pembroke Pines cafe coming soon.

People first reported Rollbotto Sushi had closed last year. The new location is next to Bean Wandering Downtown, at the corner of 2nd Avenue S. This is close to the pier on the south side of downtown.

Khawaja said the menu for the new cafe will be the same as other cafes. As always, visitors will be able to get their waffles with Belgian chocolate drizzled on top.

There has not yet been an announcement from the company on the new location coming to St. Pete. For more information on Melt n Dip, visit their website.
