It’s been almost two years since What Now reported on Mi Carreta Restaurant & Bakery’s plans to expand in its St. Petersburg location with a new lounge-style concept. Times flies (ever more quickly, it seems!), and the brand now seems to be planning its next move.

Accordingly, Mi Carreta Restaurant and Bakery Inc has submitted plans for a Mi Carreta Restaurant & Bakery in Lutz, at 1930 Land O Lakes Blvd, Suite 19.

Mi Carreta is a “Family owned business with a passion and desire to serve the best Colombian cuisine in the Bay,” says the Mi Carreta website. “Known for our authentic dishes, fresh bakery and empanadas, and sensational flavors, come by with your family and friends for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We look forward to serving you!”

What Now reached out to owner Marlon Yepes to ask about plans for Mi Carreta Restaurant and Bakery in Lutz. Yepes was not immediately available for comment. It’s not yet known whether the opening represents a relocation or an expansion.
