“Blessing to all!” said a post in the Haines City Heart of Florida Facebook group earlier this month. “Our menu has an incredible variety of sandwiches and hamburgers that come with fries… The Cuban is one of the favorites, and our Club Sandwich doesn’t hold back.”

(The translation from Spanish is ours and should be well seasoned with salt.)

What Now came across this post after reviewing submitted plan review documents showing Mi Tierra Restaurant opening at 8 N Fourth Street in Haines City on Monday.

Opening in the North Fourth Street location, Mi Tierra would join restaurants like Deemikella Cuisine and Rico Rico Bakery & Restaurant, next door to the event venue Rose Hall.

Further details on Mi Tierra Restaurant’s opening timeline are still largely under wraps. What Now reached out to owner Rene Perez on Monday to ask about plans for the opening. Perez was not immediately available for comment.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available!
