This past summer, That’s So Tampa reported on plans for the relocation of Mise en Place, “Tampa’s iconic fine-dining restaurant.” The restaurant is moving to 1229 E Eighth Ave, the coverage said, with an expected relaunch in November.

Meanwhile, the restaurant posted news about “The Grand Finale: Halloween” on Instagram.

“Celebrate with us one last time on Grand Central Ave!” the post said, promising “A Celebration of Spirits,” with attractions like “Bubbles Toast! Costume Contest! Grazing Tables! Wine! Cocktails! DJ Don Pablo & Dancing!”

Plans now appear to be moving forward, as this week What Now found plan review documents submitted by Mise en Place for its new location on East Eighth Avenue.

“A love of food, drink, and hospitality has been inspiring us since 1986 to bring you innovative modern cuisine that is rooted in the French,” says the restaurant’s website. “Our wine list seeks to celebrate our food and your occasions. The Cocktail Program is about the classics made well and our own seasonal inventions.”

What Now reached out to co-owner Maryann Ferenc on Thursday to ask about plans for the reopening. Ferenc was not immediately available for comment.
