Founded in 2011, barbecue chain Mission BBQ has expanded to seventeen states. Florida is one of the brand’s top states in number of locations, and Mission appears to be continuing to expand here in Greater Tampa. A recently submitted plan review appears to show a new Mission BBQ planned for the intersection of US-301 and Stelling Drive in Riverview.

Mission’s menus are built around its “Meat Market” selection, which features Brisket, Pulled Pork, Turkey, Pulled Chicken, and Sausage. These are also available as sandwiches and can be made into Combos that pair them with sides like Maggie’s Mac-N-Cheese, Baked Beans, Cold Slaw, and Fresh Cut Fries.

The US-301/Stelling intersection is also home to food and drink locations like Crumbl Cookies and Mandola’s Italian Kitchen. Nearby are Grain and Berry, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Cold Stone Creamery.

What Now reached out to Mission BBQ co-founder Steve Newton on Tuesday regarding plans for a Riverview Mission BBQ. Newton was not available for comment.
