A brand-new restaurant offering “fast fresh pasta on the go” is preparing to make its debut in Riverview. Called Mister Pasta, it will take a creative build-your-own approach to pasta bowls, launching at 11681 Boyette Road.

“We’re hoping to open the second week of January,” Tina Detty, one of the owners of Mister Pasta, told What Now on Monday. “We make all fresh pasta, all made in-house, including gluten-free pasta. Our whole emphasis is on fast, fresh, clean food.”

Service at Mister Pasta will work in the now-familiar build-your-own style: guests choose among six different fresh pasta noodles, six different sauces, vegetables, and proteins like chicken, steak, sausage, scallops, lobster, and crab.

“And then we cook it right in front of you,” Detty said. “And it’s fast, because fresh pasta only takes two or three minutes to cook. It’s quality pasta that you would go eat at a sit-down Italian restaurant for $25. While ours starts at $12.99.”

In addition to pasta, Mister Pasta will serve other special dishes like arancini and ravioli. And it all takes place in a setting Detty describes as “Old-World Italian,” with handmade seating. The whole idea is afresh-made pasta that’s available on the go—fast—but at a level of quality that can by no means be described as “fast food.”

The Riverview location will join Goolsby Pointe Shopping Center, a retail center anchored by a Publish Super Market. Riverview, meanwhile, is only the beginning, Detty says: the restaurant already has further expansion in the works, including franchising. So get ready to start finding Mister Pasta near you!
