AES Group, LLC, the Arby’s franchisee with the philosophy of “Fantastic Food in a Fast & Friendly Environment,” is a big player in the roast-beef-and-more chain’s network, boasting well over 200 locations. As the franchisee continues to grow its Arby’s footprint, it now appears to have its sights set on Ellenton.

This week, What Now examined plan review documents submitted by the company for a new Arby’s at 1725 S McCall Rd. Opening in the McCall Road location, Arby’s would join a community of nearby restaurants like Mimosa’s, El Jalisco Englewood Mexican Restaurant, and ZENSHI Handcrafted Sushi.

Arby’s isn’t kidding with the slogan “We Have the Meats.” The menu features Slow Roasted Beef sandwiches, Burgers, Crispy Juicy Chicken (served on its own or in a sandwich), and other Crafted Sandwiches like the Ham & Swiss Melt, the Smokehouse Brisket sandwich, the Greek Gyro, and the Corned Beef Reuben. The meats: they have them.

“Arby’s delivers on its purpose by celebrating the art of Meatcraft® with a variety of high-quality proteins and innovative, crave-able sides, such as Curly Fries and Jamocha shakes,” reads the Arby’s website’s About Us page. “Arby’s Fast Crafted® restaurant services feature a unique blend of quick-serve speed combined with the quality and made-for-you care of fast casual.”

What Now reached out on Friday to AES Group CEO John Wade to ask about the Ellenton location. Wade was not immediately available for comment.
