The building on the northeast corner of North 40th Street and East Curtis Street in Tampa will soon be home to a new Caribbean Restaurant. Called Momo Authentic Caribbean Cuisine, this restaurant, which has operated out of several other locations (including the gas station at 3320 E Hillsborough Ave) is opening in a home all its own at 4715 N 40th Street.

What Now confirmed the news with owner Hermona Alexis on Friday. Alexis said the restaurant is expected to open soon but that no date has been set just yet.

What Now is awaiting further information on the brand’s opening timeline and menu offerings from Alexis.

Situated south of the intersection with Osborne Avenu, Momo Authentic Caribbean Cuisine will be one of only a few restaurants in the neighborhood, along with Fork It Up 813 and Negril Jerk Corner.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
