The stretch of East Busch Boulevard at the intersections with North Hyaleah Road and North 50th Street will soon be home to a new restaurant serving Caribbean cuisine. Klas La Restaurant will open at 5014 E Busch Blvd #105, according to a recently submitted plan review.
What Now confirmed news of the restaurant’s opening with owner Polinice Pierre on Tuesday. Pierre said Klas La will offer a menu predominantly consisting of Caribbean dishes, serving up chicken, turkey, pork, fish, rice and beans, and more.
Klas La’s space is expected to seat up to forty guests, joining a food and beverage community that currently includes eateries like Undefeated Seafood & Winghouse and Wing Boys. Pierre says it’s working toward an opening this August.
Klas La is Pierre’s first restaurant, but the project comes after years of experience making food. “This is my heart,” Pierre said. “I’ve been helping people make food for years, but now it’s to get involved at a different level.”
