We don’t know about you, but we remember a time when Chick-fil-A was more of a regional powerhouse than the full-blown chicken behemoth it is today. The chain, which already had an impressive 1,000 locations by 2000 has since exploded to about 3,000 units worldwide, and it’s a constant favorite in the chicken space.

And now, as people continue to “Eat Mor Chikin”, the brand is preparing to expand yet again with a new location in Lakeland, at 6875 Florida Ave S.

Chick-fil-A’s claim to fame is its straightforward Chicken Sandwich: breaded chicken, pickles, and bun. A spicy sandwich is also available, plus deluxe versions of each, which tack on cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich offer guests a healthier option, while other chicken choices include chicken nuggets, chicken strips, and Chick-fil-A’s unique Grilled Nuggets. All these go nicely with the chain’s legendary Chick-fil-A sauce.

“Eating on the go can be a challenge, but we want to help,” says the Chick-fil-A website’s About page. “From hand-breading the chicken for our classic sandwiches to sourcing fresh produce for our salads and fruit cups, quality food has always been a top priority. We believe in delivering great fast food every day (except Sundays).”

What Now reached out on Monday to Chick-fil-A operator Kara Kirkland to ask about plans for the Lakeland location. Kirkland was not immediately available for comment.

Opening in the Florida Avenue South location, Chick-fil-A will join nearby restaurants like Subway, KC’s Artisan Pizza and Wine Bar, Champs Sports Bar & Grill, and Curry Mango.
