As famous burger-joint franchise Five Guys continues to expand its footprint in the Greater Tampa Bay/West Central Florida region, the brand has its sights set on Bradenton for its next expansion. Plan review documents submitted by Sarasota Seven Burgers LLC show a Five Guys in the works at 7605 FL-64, Suite 103.
What Now confirmed the news with Scott Strahm, a partner at Estep & Co. Inc., which franchises Five Guys locations in the area. Strahm said the site is still being developed, with the expectation of beginning interior construction on the space sometime in August.
As for an opening?
“It probably won’t be until later this year,” Strahm said. “Mid-October, maybe. Plans are still being finalized.”
Featuring burgers and other handhelds, milkshakes, hot dogs, and fries (of which one’s cup overfloweth—see above), Five Guys has been a kind of instant classic in the burger space ever since it launched about 30 years ago—and it has already expanded to more than 1,700 locations worldwide, with many more currently in development.
The specs for the new location in Bradenton have not all been revealed—or, indeed, decided—just yet, but Strahm says one unique aspect of the Bradenton location will be the introduction of Five Guys’ kiosk ordering system, a new feature being debuted in select locations around the country.
“We’re really excited to be in that market,” Strahm said.
