A new Italian restaurant from the culinary imagination of Executive Chef Naomi Rhee is coming to Downtown Sarasota. Opening at 1532 Main Street, Sorella will serve up pizza, pasta, drinks, and lots more.

A menu posted on the restaurant’s website promises “Modern dishes that capture the flavors of the season.” These included Grilled Octopus with bay leaf, whole peppercorns, and lemon; Fried Quail with paprika, turmeric, black pepper, and ginger; and Lamb Stew with Roma tomatoes, cannellini beans, and onion.

The website also teases a tasting menu (with an optional wine-pairing component).

What Now reached out on Friday to co-owner Dana Malcolm to inquire about plans for Sorella’s opening. Malcolm was not immediately available for comment.

Opening in the Main Street location, Sorella will join restaurants like Evie’s Tavern & Grill, C’est La Vie, and LQ on Main.

You can keep up with the Sorella opening by following @sorellasrq on Instagram—although, for the moment, the page is still private. Keep an eye out!
